Fuji "Yama" Dreskin is a music artist, filmmaker and illustrator in Denver, Colorado. Lyrics range from the occult to animal advocacy, romance and identity. Each video she creates are heavily influenced by the anime and manga she grew up with and film/tv favorites. Fuji is also known for her freestyle dance, martial arts and cosplay background.
Love, Rage and Liberation.
I have now been back in my hometown of Denver, Colorado with my cats Daikon, Apricot and Scottie for over 7 years. I get to be closer to my family and work with animals along side film, my music, dance and illustration.
I fight for the liberation of animals and people with my music/ art, spreading love, rage, awareness and empowerment. Additionally, as a vegan artist I am dedicated to educating others about compassion for all living beings and what we can do to help them. Animals and humans help each other heal our wounds, so instead of choosing "sides" as many argue, it is in our alliance that we will gain the strength needed.
My most recent music video is called "Fire to the Cages" and is currently in post production, the track is now streaming on all platforms. "FTC" is an introduction to animal abuse, exploitation and advocacy. I filmed it at the Colorado Wildlife Sanctuary which made it an even more special video.
I have also just completed work as a Producer, Illustrator and wardrobe assistant on the Asian American Western Short: "Dirty Rotten Tofu and the Gohan Girls" by Cowgirl Sushi Productions. Being a part of this film was a life changing experience for which I am eternally grateful!
